Bristol Harbour Festival is A Greener Festival 2024 certified

I am proud to be part of Bristol Harbour Festival as was delighted to hear that we gained A Greener Future (AGF) certification as a Greener Festival for the first time this year. The festival was 'commended', which signifies a well-managed, environmentally aware event going beyond expectation to make positive change. Huge praise is due to all in the teams at Proud Events, Swans Events and the Bristol City Council events team for their hard work in securing the certification.

AGF said "Bristol Harbour Festival have demonstrated a passionate drive for a greener festival with a focus on best practice going forwards. The team have shown excellent efforts and a clear determination to continue to improve, to protect the environment and enhance positive stakeholder connections".  

Councillor Tony Dyer, Leader of Bristol City Council, said: “It’s such a fantastic achievement for Bristol Harbour Festival and the work of the festival team to be recognised for their efforts and commitment in prioritising sustainability and minimising the environmental impact of the event. To be certified as a Commended Greener Festival by A Greener Future is an accolade we can be proud of."
